Secretariat Assistant is one of the most glamorous and sought-after post among graduates in Kerala. Kerala PSC conducts this exam once in every three-four years’ time frame. The pay scale for the secretariat assistant position is ₹ 27800 – 59400/ month. Vacancies for the post are not estimated and the candidates included in the list will be appointed against the vacancies reported during the period of the validity of the list.

Exam pattern:

As part of the new approach, Kerala PSC has now introduced a two-tier exam system for most of the posts. Tier 1 is a common preliminary exam conducted for several posts that require the same qualification. The preliminary exam is only qualifying in nature. And a Tier 2 – the main exam is conducted for the candidates who clear the preliminary exam which is specific for a post. In the case of secretariat assistant, a common degree level preliminary exam and the main exam specific for the post of secretariat assistant is conducted. The preliminary exam includes 100 questions with four options for each question. For every right answer, you will get one mark and a penalty of 1/3 marks for each wrong answer.
