Who all can apply for LGS Exam 2020?
Qualification to apply for this post – Should have passed standard VII and should not have acquired any graduation. Those who had joined for various degree exams and didn’t yet passed the exam can also apply for the post. Those who are having these qualifications like Under Graduates, Pre-Degree, Plus 1 / Plus 2, SSLC, ITI, Diploma, Last Year Graduates etc.
Age : 18-36. Candidates born between 02.01.1983 and 01.01.2001 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post.
ie, there will be vacancies all 14 districts of Kerala Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasaragod.

The expected exam date for LGS exam will be after August 2020 (the date and schedule is not yet finalised by Kerala Public Service Commission).
Total applicants for LGS Exam 2017 were 8,54,811.
Most number applicants were from Trivandrum District and least nos were from Kasargod.
Posts included for recruiment via LGS Exam
Last Grade Servants Exam is conducted to recruit eligible candidates in posts like Watchman, Watcher, Night Watchman, Guard, Night Guard, Cleaner cum conductor, Lascar, Gate Keeper, Bullkeeper, Animal Keeper etc.
It has to be ntoed that women candidates will not be recruited for the above mentioned posts and their appointment is made in posts like Matron, Watch Women in Social Justice Department etc.
Medical certificate must be produced to certify that the candiate is physically fit.
The no of male and female candidates being recruited will not be equal in no as Kerala PSC follows a pass over method to consider male candidates and female candidates based on the posts for next recruitment to be made. For example, if the next available post to be filled is night watchman and the available candiate as per the list is a women, she will not be considered and the opportunity will be passed to the next male candidate.
