NEET 2021 Exam Latest Updates & Much Awaited Answer Keys

The NTA has conducted the NEET exam on September 12, 2021 from 2 PM to 5 PM.  The NEET test was conducted pen and paper based mode. Nearly 16 Lakhs students have registered for the NEET exam and It was conducted at 679 centres in 270 cities.

The NEET 2021 was originally scheduled to be conducted on April 18, 2021 but due to the second wave of covid 19, authorities postponed the exam. This year the NEET exam centres were also increased. Candidates are allowed to bring only few items such as masks, gloves, transparent water bottles, hand sanitizer in a transparent water bottle. They were not allowed to bring any electronic devices, jewelleries or other items to the exam centre.

NEET 2021 Answer Key

The NEET 2021 question paper contains 200 questions from Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology sections where the candidates are required to answer only 180 MCQs. After the completion of the exam, the NEET question paper and the answer key will be released. Using the NEET 2021 answer key, the candidates can evaluate and calculate the expected scores to be obtained for the exams. Students can download the unofficial NEET answer key below.

How to prepare for NEET Exam 2021

The NEET exam 2021 will be conducted on 12th September 2021 and all candidates are at the crucial stage of their final preparation. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination, commonly known as “NEET” is the common medical entrance examination conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). With the enforcement of the National Medical Council Act, 2019, from 2020 onwards, the NEET exam has become a mandatory entrance examination for admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS courses in all government medical institutes and also the admissions to AIIMS and JIPMER.

NEET Eligibility

A student must be at least 17 years of age and must also score a total of at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the 12th standard to be qualified to write the exam.

NEET Exam Pattern 2021

NTA has introduced a new exam pattern for the NEET 2021 exam. According to the revised exam structure, the NEET question paper will be divided into two sections: Section A and Section B for each topic (Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology).

Section A 

Section A of the NEET question paper comprises 35 questions, for each subject and each question will carry 4 marks. There will be a penalty of 1 mark for each wrong answer. 

Section B 

In section B of the NEET question paper, each subject would have 15 questions and candidates can attempt any 10 of those. Each question will carry a total of 4 marks.

So, in section B of each subject, candidates will be given 5 additional questions to choose from and answer. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer.

Last-minute preparatory tips 

As the exam is closing in, candidates will look for the tools to polish their skills. The last-minute preparation tips can help you in maximizing your output for the NEET examination. Time is the most important factor during this phase of your preparation. It is mandatory not to get over-stressed on the exams; wellness is the basic requirement for any exam you write.

  • Invest your time in the revision 

Revision is the best tool to sharpen your skills and increase your memory power. To reinforce the facts, you should revise everything you have ever studied for NEET. No matter how much you have studied unless you can recollect the information during the exam. Remember to give extra time for the important and the topics you find difficult to learn. 

  • Avoid studying new topics
